Post-it-note Books

** 3" x 5" pad booklets:
  Two 3 1/4" x 5 1/4" book boards
  One 3/8" x 5 1/4" spine board
  6 1/2" x 8 1/2" paper for outer covering
  4 3/4" x 6 1/2" paper for inside lining
  Optional 2" x 8 1/2" paper for outside binding
  Two 10" ribbons for book ties

** 3" x 3" pad booklets:
  Two 3 1/4" square book boards
  One 3/8" x 3 1/4" spine board
  4 1/2" x 8 1/2" paper for outer covering
  3" x 6 1/2" paper for inside lining
  Optional 2" x 5 1/4" paper for outside binding
  Two 10" ribbons for book ties

Instructions:
Glue the book boards and spine board to the back of the outer covering. Place the spine board in between the larger pieces, leaving 1/16th" gap. (This will allow the cover to fold easily.)
Glue flaps down to the inside of the cover. Miter the corners, or cut a small triangle of paper off each corner for easier folding.
Glue about 2" of one end of each ribbon in the center of each large panel, long ribbons hanging off the edge. These will be the ties to close the book.

Optional binder edge may be added at this time. Cut with decorative scissors along the long edges. Center and glue to the outer side of the cover to form a binder edge. Glue the edges to the inside.

Glue the inside covering to the inside of the book, covering all raw edges.
Fold the cover to form a book. Attach the Post-it-note pad in the book. 
Tie the ribbons. Decorate the cover as desired.

***Any sticky notepad may be used. Make your book boards 1/4" larger than the notepad. Remember to allow extra paper for the coverings.***
