Triangle Cards

I got this wonderful card idea out of the book "Greeting Card Magic with Rubber Stamps" by MaryJo McGraw. Awesome book! Every stamper must have this for a reference book!

The triangle cards are incredibly simple to make, although they look difficult. They always turn out quite impressive.

Materials needed:

  • Several stamps with small images that are of the same theme
  • Cardstock in coordinating colors
  • Dye inks
  • Adhesive of your choice
  • Ruler

Instructions:

  1. Cut 1 1/2" squares with 3 different colors of paper.
  2. Stamp the papers using the same ink for all, with different stamp patterns.
  3. Cut the squares into triangles.
  4. Attach the triangles to card stock that coordinates with the triangles. Position the triangles, alternating colors. A ruler will help to keep the triangle pieces equal in spacing.
  5. Cut around the outer edges of the triangles 1/8" for a border. Attach this panel to your cardstock as desired.
  6. Add a small verse to the bottom corner of the card, if desired.
  7. Add embellishments as desired--buttons, charms, ribbons, feathers, jute, etc.
