Triangle Cards
I got this wonderful card idea out of the book "Greeting Card Magic with Rubber Stamps" by MaryJo McGraw. Awesome book! Every stamper must have this for a reference book!
The triangle cards are incredibly simple to make, although they look difficult. They always turn out quite impressive.
Materials needed:
- Several stamps with small images that are of the same theme
- Cardstock in coordinating colors
- Dye inks
- Adhesive of your choice
- Ruler
Instructions:
- Cut 1 1/2" squares with 3 different colors of paper.
- Stamp the papers using the same ink for all, with different stamp patterns.
- Cut the squares into triangles.
- Attach the triangles to card stock that coordinates with the triangles. Position the triangles, alternating colors. A ruler will help to keep the triangle pieces equal in spacing.
- Cut around the outer edges of the triangles 1/8" for a border. Attach this panel to your cardstock as desired.
- Add a small verse to the bottom corner of the card, if desired.
- Add embellishments as desired--buttons, charms, ribbons, feathers, jute, etc.
